A car bomb exploded near a Hezbollah checkpoint in eastern Lebanon early Tuesday, Lebanon's state-run news agency NNA reported.
There were an unknown number of casualties.
According to the NNA report, Hezbollah members manning the checkpoint were prompted to open fire on the car as it approached the checkpoint, which resulted in the blast. No additional details were immediately available.
