Afro beat masetro and son of the late leader of The Egypt 80s band and the 'Father of Afro beats", Femi Kuti has been nominated for the Grammys, his second in a decade. He was nominated alongside Ladysmith Black Mambazo in the Best World Album category.
His expertise in the art of Afro beats has continued to earn him accolades over the past decade. He was featured on the Fela-styled 'Jaiye Jaiye' hit song by Nigerian star, Wizkid earlier this year.
