PHOTOS: EXCLUSIVE TIPS TO MAKE YOUR DREAM WEDDING A REALITY

The Wedding day, it's probably the most anticipated day for ladies ever since they turned 16. Hence, there's a need to make it both an emotional statement and a memorable event stocked with moments to cherish forever. We all want to get married to that one person who makes us happy, complete and absolutely fulfilled but how ready are we for the big day? Not ready? Well not to worry. Trend Perch Weddings has a few tips below that might just be able to help with that.

TIPS TO ORGANISE YOUR DREAM DAY

1. GET A BUDGET:
It doesn't necessarily have to be a massive and finance-choking budget,  you could be organising her best day while "cutting the costs". You both still have a length of life ahead of you. The wedding is just a part of it

2. SKETCH YOUR DREAM DAY:
This is probably the most important part of it all! It involves both a mental picture and p physical laid-out plan of how you want that special day to look like. How many guest to invite, financial spending target ahead of the big day, the colours of the day, entertainment, the possible location. Etc. These should critical parts of your mental picture amd they should be followed up with concrete planning else they just end up as mere mental images without life.

3. PLAN WITHIN YOUR MEANS:
This is where a lot of Nigerians get it wrong. We plam ahead of our means (in the short run) and pay dearly for "financial sins"in the long run. I'll provide an article on "common financial sins" soonest to aid your inept understanding of this topic. Definitely the finances determine the key of the wedding but NOT the tempo. Creativity does, therefore a wedding planner should be of extreme value mostly if the lady isn't as occasions-savy as expected. I could rent a space on a school football pitch and add some fun and jivy elements to my wedding to add spice to the atmosphere.  As a man, I could tell the groomsmen to do me a special grooms dance while kitting them up in the most glamorous yet finance-friendly attires. Thierry Mugler, Francesco Smalto suits are highly affordable and could make the difference.  It doesn't have to be a huge hall. Sometimes it's more affordable to go with creativity than to stick with proven liability.

4. THE TRAIN:
The train (both bridal nd groomsmen) is absolutely important in making adequate plans for a successful wedding. A bridal train could be suited according to needs, sentiments or ignorance. A bridal train or grromsmen should not be as long as an electric train (except some do show readiness to appear amd hence foot their fashion bill). The chief bridesmaid and the groomsmen should not be accompanied by more than 4 bridesmaids or groomsmen except for special reasons. And the number of bridesmaids should be equal to the number of groomsmen.  This makes things highly organised.

5. CHOOSING COMPLEMENTARY COLOURS
A lot of couples get this wrong mostly. Complementary colours should be colours that appeal to the two kinds of people we expect at any wedding which are Men and Women. Colours like Blue as the groom's colour and Pink as the Bride's colour are an excellent choice.  Some wedding attendees think Complementary colours exhibit the workable chemistry between both couples. Hence the need to be wise in choosing colours of the day

6. CHOOSING "ASO-EBI" TEXTILE MATERIAL FOR THE DAY:
For our foreign visitors, Nigerians don't joke with this aspect.  It is in fact a "wedding ritual" or rule that must be obeyed else the wedding will look awkward. Choosing a textile material requires an array of factors which must be duly comsidered of which are: What kind of people am I expecting? What's their fashion sense like? If I am expecting mostly middle class or low class income earning people, I shouldn't go getting a hugely expensive lace just because it's beautiful lr because I like it. The finances of your guests should be taken into consideration when making such decisions. I could order a cheap, beautiful and yet durable ankara fabric drom DaViva or African Prints. By doing this, I would have "cut the costs", created a bridge between the rich and poor, and I would have made people happy.
