Luis Suarez signs Long term contract at Liverpool

Luis Suarez has signed a new deal that will keep him at Liverpool.

The Uruguayan striker has been in splendid form this season, scoring 17 times in 11 Premier League games, despite missing the first five matches of the season.

The new contract is reported to be worth £130,000 a week and it is not immediately clear if it contains a release clause.
“I am delighted to have agreed a new deal with Liverpool and have my future secured for the long term,” said Suarez.

“We have some great players and the team is growing and improving all the time. I believe I can achieve the ambitions of winning trophies and playing at the very highest level with Liverpool. My aim is to help get us there as quickly as possible.”
Suarez was on the verge of leaving Anfield in the summer, but the Anfield club rejected two bids from Arsenal.
