The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said they are not shocked at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) because he will come back to the PDP.
Uche Secondus, deputy national chairman of the PDP, speaking as chairman at a PDP women workshop tagged “PDP National Women Leader’s Consultative Workshop with Women in Media”, said it wasn’t the first time the vice-president had left the party.
He said “We are waiting for Atiku to go on this voyage and come back. He has done it before; it is not the first time.”
Atiku is said to be nursing ambitions to be the country's next leader come elections in February next year
