Man Utd to trade tackles with AC Milan, others in International Champions Cup

Manchester United will be put to the test during pre-season following confirmation the Reds will take part in a football extravaganza during Tour 2014, presented by Aon.

David Moyes’ side is one of eight world-renowned teams to be involved in the 2014 International Champions Cup, which will take place in 13 cities across the United States from 26 July to 4 August. Also involved are AC Milan, AS Roma, Internazionale, Liverpool, Manchester City, Olympiacos and Real Madrid.*

Teams will be divided into two groups with each playing at least three matches in the tournament. The two winners of each group will meet in the final at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, home of NFL side Miami Dolphins, on 4 August. Fans can learn more about specific match fixtures, dates, groups and venues in the coming weeks.

Exclusive pre-sale tickets for the Miami final are on sale now with the general public having access to tickets from 15:00 GMT on 6 February. Tickets for individual group games will be available in the coming weeks, while a number of exclusive VIP packages are also available – find out more here.

*Please note: teams required to qualify for 2014/15 European competition based on 2013/14 domestic league finishing position may be subject to change.
